Adrian Bellue, a fingerstyle guitarist from Sacramento, CA reached out and grabbed my attention when I pressed play on a YouTube video one of my fellow peers from Sacramento City College shared some time last year. I've been patiently waiting for more details to emerge on Adrian Bellue, and I'm ecstatic to say that his story has been in full swing. However, he's now stepping out and sharing his gift with the rest of us. Adrian Bellue isn't just another typical acoustic guitar player. He plays with a felt passion and a very clear purpose. He aims to "heal and inspire all around him", and he plays "music from the heart, emptying his mind letting his creative passion to pass through." I see it and I feel it. He's truly a one-man band with his rhythmic, percussive style using every part of his guitar to make you feel where he's coming from. Adrian Bellue is such an interesting artist to me because there is so much depth to him. He's a reformed death metal guitarist, and I totally get that from the swagger expressed in his playing posture and tattoos. Plus, heavy metal and rock stems from art music. Adrian Bellue committed to his musical journey in 2012, and he is now making strides down this indie path with guitar in hand.
